  Process Engineer

  Process Engineer at Riyadh Refinery Department -Hydrocracker Unit (HCU)-Crude Complex Unit While working at Riyadh Refinery, I gained extensive exposure to the daily duties of a process engineer. Moreover, I managed to accomplish the following:-Participated in the catalyst changeout shutdown activities.During the shutdown, I inspected and went inside various fundamental equipment such as the HCU fixed bed reactors, debutanizer, and fired heater. This experience linked the learnt theoretical knowledge during the period of being at the university to the practical and real-life one.-Developed a new dashboard for the HCU utilizing PI processBook software.-Developed an updated process flow diagram for the HCU using PI processBook software.-Participated in a workshop on ArkaTAC3 software.It is a software that analyses plant data and provides best carbon capture and utilization bathes relying on required CO2 emission reduction and profit. -Participated in the Quarter Safety Inspection (QSI).   -Work as pilot plant operations engineer and manage 15 high pressure high temperature pilot plants. -Work at catalyst selection project for selecting hydroprocessing catalysts for commercial units. -Perform catalysts testing in pilot plants for optimising commercial processes. -Utilise power BI tool to develop project monitoring dashboards. -Perform root cause analysis to investigate process failures in pilot plants and implemented several recommendations related to plant design , operation for further improvements in plant operation.
