Katherine leads three teams with a total of 7 analysts and 7 developers on a $6.5 million/year project to sustain and enhance the Ariba procurement system for her client. Her team deploys an average of 7 enhancements and 12 fixes per release through 10 week release cycles. She has worked with a newly created Internal Review Board to revamp how potential tickets are tracked and ranked. When first appointed as lead, Katherine researched and created a presentation of the many details of the release process to get the project in sync. Katherine independently manages her teams by creating set responsabilites for each member of the team based on their strengths along with the necessary templates and checklists, working to transfer her SME knowledge to her team to allow them to take on additional tasks, and establishing solid and trusting relationships with four of the project’s main clients. She continues to reduce dependency on supervisor’s input to increase management responsabilities. Show less Katherine was part of a small team on the $4.2 million effort to upgrade the Ariba procurement system processing 400,000 transactions totaling $1.2 billion for over 32,000 users across 160 Posts worldwide. She acted as the SME for multiple modules whose functionality was not well-known on the project. With her team, she helped navigate through 34 designs, create script packages for 34 functional areas comprising over 5,200 requirements, and test 725 test scenarios. To assist with a smooth implementation, she created and maintained the Communications Plan including 25 calls with posts across the world, 6 presentations and demonstrations to the client's Managing Director. Katherine worked with developers on multiple issues and resolutions which lead to the successful implementation of the upgrade, including 0 criticals. Show less Katherine worked on full testing of the integration between the project’s procurement module (Ariba) and financial system (Momentum). She sorted through 836 poorly written requirements and existing test scripts in order to reduce duplicative tests. She then created multiple documents to standardize the testing process and increase visibility. Along with a co-worker, Katherine helped create 375 test scripts that captured more detail than normal which helped to catch issues and lead to a successful implementation. To ensure the success of the deployment with users, she worked to update a 103 page Desk Guide and created script for trainings and demonstrations after the upgrade that received positive feedback. With her new system expertise, she managed a set of users during the fiscal end of year and ensured that all documents were submitted properly and on time. Show less Katherine worked on the national deployment of Kronos Workforce Central (an electronic time, scheduling, and attendance tool) to manage the time for over 50,000 officers at over 400 Federalized Airports. Early on, she established herself as one of the top presenters for training workshops of 30+ participants, provided 1-on-1 training, and virtual operational support. Katherine implemented process improvements for the project including a process for managing workshop materials and creating new job aids. She managed remaining clocks to be initialized, statuses of clocks at each airport, and held weekly meetings with the Kronos team to discuss current issues. Show less
