      Participant

The NAHSS is a national honors-program of which the main goal is to teach Dutch top students about Asia from an academic, business and a cultural perspective. The participants go through an intense selection procedure monitored by both McKinsey&Company and PwC.For this program, I spent 8 weeks in China to: take part in a summer school at the University of Beijing; visit multiple companies in both Beijing and Shanghai; and to conduct a consultancy project for the Dutch ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences. In this project we came up with multiple ideas how the ministry could increase the number of Dutch students going abroad to China for (parts of) their studies. Show less

    • Technische Universiteit Eindhoven

      Aug 2021 - now
      Researcher Phd Candidate

In this PhD, I investigate how flexibility in electricity networks can best be used for congestion management. For that purpose, I develop decision models for grid operators to coordinate multiple congestion management instruments (tariffs, contracts, markets, etc.). Other topics of interest are: flexibility quantification, statistical methods for load modeling and outlier detection, and developments in electricity markets. This research is part of the RVO funded GO-E project, a consortium including Alliander, Enexis, Stedin, ElaadNL, Greenchoice, Recoy, Itho Daalderop, ETPA, Technolution, Phase to Phase, DNV GL, Witteveen + Bos, TU Eindhoven, TU Delft, and TNO.
