  Worked as a Computer & Electronic Engineer in the Network Optimization Department.The function of this department is to perform risk management on the distribution network to ensure that it is optimized in terms of stability and reliability.My role in the department is to:- Determine mitigation strategies for emergency conditions- Develop scripts to:-- Automate data analytic processes -- Interface with the simulation application used to model the network (Powerfactory) to automate certain functions.I also completed a final engineering intern project which entailed improving the method for conducting contingency studies on the distribution network. This project included me writing python scripts which integrate with the simulation application. These scripts work together to automate certain data handling processes, utilize simulation tools in the application, build data models from simulation results and utilize statistical analysis to determine the probability that a certain network limit would be breached under a specific contingency condition. The end product proposes a new way of conducting contingency studies which is much faster and more accurate. Show less
