WHAT I DO: Manage and motivate teams to consistently obliterate targets in a prestigious main dealer vehicle parts department whilst maintaining optimum stock levels - offering the highest levels of customer service along the way. HOW I DO IT: A bigger picture mindset, not afraid of change, improved communication and continuous coaching and investment in staff. WHY I DO IT: They say do what you're good at! I have a passion for people and cars - they just come together. I have adopted continuous personal development throughout the last 7 years with Stratstone Land Rover Newcastle. I started as a parts apprentice. I then went onto win the prestigious Apprentice Of The Year Award with Land Rover UK. Using my existing skills from my previous Engineering apprenticeship I adopted an "always improving" way of work which propelled me forward in the company at a rapid rate. May 2017 was a good day, I was approached by my Head of Business with the great news that I had been chosen for the JLR Aspiring Managers Programme. I was shortlisted from over 3000 candidates to enroll in the 12 months paid courses. I have just recently completed the programme and I have expanded my skillset massively - from improving profits and maintaining key working relationships with stakeholders and customers from all walks of life.During the programme, we were assigned a project to save our dealerships money. Using my self taught ICT skills I created a simple computer program which saved my company £310,000 per year by automating and rebuilding a process which is in place in almost vehicle dealerships worldwide.
