During my mobile role I had responsibility for circa 40 sites across the South East, including ports & airports, Probation Offices and Approved Premises (residential buildings). During my static role I was responsible for five sites in Croydon, including Lunar House, a 20-storey Government building.• Main point of contact for clients and building users, including regular client meetings and complaint management.• Subcontractor management for hard and soft services.• People Manager for Assistant Regional Managers, who were responsible for Amey’s self-delivered cleaning service and managed circa 70 cleaning supervisors, team leaders and cleaning operatives across the Croydon estate. Direct management of some cleaners during mobile role. • Catering management: direct management of Amey chef for self delivered service and management of catering contractor. Regular food audits for both.• Annual statutory fire risk assessment reviews and asbestos reviews as well as regular building audits.• Management of sub contractors to ensure timely completion of all other statutory, mandatory, and other pre-planned maintenance.• Management of open jobs for reactive works: Ensuring timely closure of jobs to meet KPIs; submission of costs to client for approval where tasks fell outside the unitary fee; creation of VB macros to assist with work order management.• Contract “super user” for CAFM system (Maximo) & training for colleagues and sub contractors Show less I joined Amey on a 6 month contract to assist with day to day admin work whilst I searched for a graduate career; knowing nothing about FM. Amey had just mobilised the Home Office Contract (it had been live for a little under a month when I joined) and in my very first week I had progressed from ordering stationary to assisting with aspects of the mobilisation that hadn't yet been finalised. I became solely responsible for managing 'red route' work orders; those jobs that were out of scope of the contact and required a quote before works could proceed. During this time I learnt many basic FM skills; liaising with colleagues and contractors to obtain quotes and submit them for approval to the client. As the contract was so new there were no formal processes in place so I took great enjoyment in setting these up and creating spreadsheets to keep track of the jobs. Show less
