  Taking full advantage of Nando’s comprehensive management training, I learned and practiced a multitude of management concepts such as servant-leadership, high performing teams, the importance of diversity in team makeup and connection through psychometric tools (Insights Discovery profiling). As well as learning to run restaurants brilliantl, getting hands-on experience creating rotas, managing the restaurant P&L, regional leadership of CSR activities and running many community involvement projects.In 2014 I was flown to South Africa to collect the Nandoca of the Year award in front of 500 selected colleagues. In 2016 I was one of 6 passionate managers selected to conduct the first collaborative impact assessment on the farming regions in Zimbabwe to ensure Nando's ethical sourcing of star product - PERi-PERi. Under the guidance of Impact Amplifier, we visited 5 farms in Zimbabwe and interviewed over 20 farmers. Joined with results in Malawi, Mozambique and South Africa this has formed the annual initiative, Farm to Flame. Show less
