  Rather than simply provide a chip, the business unit also offers the software "turnkey solution" based on Android architecture to its customers for running it. My position is a system integrator of several tablet projects to assist project leaders in development of tablet software. Summary of my work: (1) Dispatch jobs of tablet projects to over 100 members from different teams located in Taiwan & China. (2) Co-work with smartphone system integrators to leverage smartphone projects' resources for tablet projects on the same codebase. (3) Coordinate tablet team members to co-work with smartphone team members. (4) Bring up reference platforms and develop BSP packages for new chips.(5) Discuss tablet software requirements with product managers. (6) Discuss testing plan and schedule with QA members. Important projects that I have involved in: (1) MT8135 which applies ARM big.LITTLE architecture (dual Cortex A15 plus dual Cortex A7).(2) MT8392 (octuple Cortex A7). Show less Before involving in tablet products, the business unit mainly focused on Blu-ray disc player and DVD player's turnkey solution. My position was a software engineer for developing/integrating middleware for those player products: (1) Digital Rights Management integration: Windows Media DRM and DivX DRM. (2) Network application integration: Netflix, Napster, YouTube and Picasa. (3) Software parser implementations for several media formats: AVI, DivX, Xvid, MP4, Nero Digital, RMVB and QuickTime.Also, I often took business travels to Mainland China, Japan, Korea and UK to support customers' mass production.   Mediatek is a fabless semiconductor company for wireless communication, wireless network and digital multimedia solutions. Intelligent Automotive Business Unit (IAB) is a novel organization of Mediatek. Intead of following Mediatek traditional development workflow to provide "turnkey solution" to customers, IAB follows some more sophisticated industrial standards (eg. ASPICE, ISO 26262) to develop automotive products to our customers. TakMan has two roles involved in IAB's MT2712 infotainment (IVI) project, formerly the system integrator and latterly the project manager. Also, TakMan is the Engineering Process Group (EPG) member of Mediatek automotive procedures.Summary of TakMan's system integrator (SI) work:(1) Dispatch jobs to over 50 members from different teams located in Taiwan & China.(2) Bring up reference platforms and develop BSP packages.(3) Discuss system/software requirements with product managers.(4) Discuss testing plan and schedule with QA members.Summary of TakMan's project manager work:(1) Planning, monitoring and cooridinating the execution of all project's processes according to Mediatek Project Management procedure which meets ASPICE level-2 capability.(2) Co-work with other supporting processes' managers and leads to help V-model engineering/testing processes to run smoothly.(3) As a arbiter/coordinator between the engineering processes and testing processes. Summary of TakMan's automotive EPG member work:(1) Develop Software Integration Test (aka. ASPICE SWE5) procedure.(2) Develop System Integration Test (aka.
