  The changes in architectural visions in Bologna in the 16th century: fictional architecture and the relationship with sacred themes.This research project is part of a journey that began in early 2019, during my last year of Master’s in Visual Arts in Bologna when I decided to apply for a five-month Erasmus call for thesis research at the EPHE in Paris. In addition, the internship at the Department of Graphic Art at the Louvre allowed me to get in direct contact with drawings and preparatory sketches, which will play a key role in my research. My choice therefore had an impact on the novelties and changes that some Bolonese artists, active between the twentieth and fifties of the sixteenth century, staged in terms of painted architecture and construction of space inside religious representations, Examining the cultural context of Bologna and its renovation process. In particular, attention will be paid to the link between the advent in the city of Baldassarre Peruzzi in 1522 with the old style and the way it influenced local artists or who transited to Bologna at that time.
