Responsibilities included operation of a 5,000 sq. ft. facility with 13,200 gallons of tank space, five acres of ponds, and the supervision of three technicians (direct reports). Managed a ~$3 MM constructed wetland/pollution control construction project (required by a State of Maryland Consent Order) at the Mirant Faulkner Coal Ash Storage facility. Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, the program’s objective is to provide prospective future power plant employees (targeting engineering and other STEM college students at Minority Serving Institutions) with a unique learning experience on environmental issues related to the operation of power plants.
