      Owned, operated/managed a 1280 acre grain farm of which 215 acres were irrigated. The farm grew mainly wheat, durham and canola along with the occasional crop of barley, oats and flax. In 1996 the land was rented out and farming discontinued in 1998. My wife, Debbie and I continued to raise and train Pony of the Americas breed of horses until 2014. The last foal born on our ranch was sold as a 2 year old in the spring of 2016. I continue to live on our home quarter. Debbie continued with her love of horses with showing her Quarter Horse mare in the AQHA Western Pleasure show circuit where she won the 2016 National Select Western Pleasure Champion before passing from cancer in 2018. The last of my cultivated land is leased out for commercial hay production. Show less
