      Recruited to establish all accounting, shipping, inventory, and manufacturing operations for divisional startup of US parent supplying suspension components for Ford Focus to European market. Full P&L responsibility. Managed 5 staff in 5 departments.Organized shipping and real-time inventory at 2 manufacturing sites and 1 distribution site for parts shipped from US, including customs clearance. Implemented all US and German GAAP records, including German import and value-added taxes.Later established German manufacturing operations for Focus suspension components in Liederbach and Paderborn, Germany, and Valencia, Spain, and obtained ISO9000 certification.• Managed all supply chain logistics for products entering the EU from the US sister company, including inventory tracking by rail, sea, customs, distribution centers, and customer locations.• Became expert in AutoCAD engineering schematics for review of manufacturing products with Ford Executive Leadership Team.• Worked directly with the German CPA, reviewing all individual GL accounts and ensuring German GAAP Compliance• Negotiated €100K reversal in VAT with Ford Europe after VAT liability was incurred by US sister company whenshipping Ford products.• Drove €$20K revenue increase by personally conducting physical inventory review to correct inaccurate Ford scrap reporting that created inventory errors; ensured proper inventory levels to avoid plant shutdown.• Created tracking system to show fluctuations in dollar to deutschmark and later euro conversion, allowing accurate P&L reports to US parent and to German tax authority.• Negotiated pricing for expedited customs clearance with German customs agency, reducing clearance period from 20 days to 5 days, and allowing reduced inventory and lower carrying costs at distribution center.
