  Engineering Intern

  Worked at the Scientific and Engineering Services Directorate as an Engineering Intern for 06 weeks. The internship was divided in 3 parts. The time periods were allotted to 03 different departments, Design Engineering department, Welding Institute and National Center for Non-destructive Testing.Design Engineering Department- Worked at the Design Engineerinng Department to learn basic and fundamental design, working and maintenance principles of Heat Exchangers, pressure vessels and other mechanical equipment.Welding Institute- Learned and gained hands-on experience in welding of various conventional equipment, using GMAW, SMAW, FCAW & LBW, and performed different health and safety procedures/SOPs.National Center for Non-Destructive Testing- Worked in failure analysis, penetrant testing, eddy current testing, ultrasound testing, video testing, thermal & IR testing, structural integrity, concrete testing, radiography, SEM, mechanical testing and magnetic testing labs to gain hands--on experience in evaluation and characterization techniques.
