    • Sab miller

      Dec 2009 - Jan 2010
      Internship

      - SAB Miller is one of the leading Beer industry in the world. It has factories in most of the states across India. The company has many brands under its name like Fosters, Royal Challenge, Peroni, Indus Pride, Knockout etc. - The aim for this internship was to learn the manufacturing process of beers, simultaneously learning the working of complicated machines inside the brewery.

    • Mitsubishi motors

      Mar 2011 - Mar 2011
      Internship

      - Mitsubishi motors is one of the leading Automobile brands in the world. - The training commenced with working on a Pajero engine by completely dissambling it and studying various parts of the engine. - The training also included on how a car is assembled inside the factory right from the body shop through the paint shop and the final assembly line.

Training at the service centre was to develop a proper and in-depth knowledge about the cars and the engineering involved in it. It was down on me to observe the entire packaging of the vehicle's components with the help and guidance of technicians.• Engine Assembly: Assembled a 3.0L turbo diesel V-6 engine for an Audi A7 that had been involved in a head-on collision. This process involved:1. Replacing damaged components such as the oil sump, crankcase, turbo, engine pulley cover, and pulleys.2. Completely dismantling the engine to perform thorough quality checks.3. Reassembling the engine with new parts, including injectors, gaskets, a complete crank assembly, and other necessary components.4. Bolting the reassembled engine to the transmission and mounting it into the vehicle.• Gearbox Repair: Addressed sensor issues and gear selection problems in an Audi Q5 gearbox. The repair process included:1. Diagnosing the issue where the gearbox control unit could not change gears due to a faulty sensor.2. Removing the gearbox from the powertrain to access the internal components.3. Inspecting each of the three compartments of the gearbox for electrical and mechanical issues.4. Replacing the faulty sensor and reassembling the gearbox.5. Ensuring proper gear selection and functionality through rigorous testing.• Fuel System Maintenance: Worked on the fuel systems of various Audi sedan models (both diesel and petrol). The maintenance process involved:1. Identifying and addressing issues caused by metal chips in the fuel systems, which can lead to choking and damage.2. Cleaning and flushing the fuel systems to remove any contaminants.3. Replacing damaged or worn components, such as fuel filters and injectors.4. Testing the fuel systems to ensure proper flow and functionality. Show less

The objective was to build and validate the Combine Harvester Header - Feeder simulation model for predicting and understanding the interaction between the machine and crop flow. The project will be done from a system level and functional level. The developed simulation tool is a reliable platform to study, research and evaluate the modification to improve the functional efficiency and reliability of the machines. The simulation platform will also prove to be an innovative tool and reduce the development time and costs. Objectives:• Develop the Combine Harvester Functional Model using the In-House Simulation Code.• Build the simulationn model for the Combine Harvester Header and Feeder. • Validate the data from experiments with simulation for Machine - Crop Interaction Simulation model. • Execute technical tasks and feedback to software developers.• Manage the project progress.• Plan and perform Crop material test on the field.• Support the Next Gen Combine team with water management simulations.• Perform URANS CFD Simulations of the cleaning system and support the design, platform, and innovation team.• Data validation of CFD simulations and test rig data for the Combine Harvester cleaning system.• Finite Element Analysis on the Feeder Slats and use Modal Data for Flexible Multi Body Simulations.• Closely collaborate with Design Engineers and discuss inputs for different machine components.• Optimized the simulation setting for a RANS and URANS simulations for the Combine Cleaning fan to reduce computational time.• Contributing and Planning of Field Test at the client for crop measurements.
