May 2013 - Mar 2015Supervised 13 professional staff charged with identifying appropriate funding streams for payment of supports/services rendered by 125+ providers according to the Individual Service Plans of a minimum of 1200 people and monitored funding decisions made by staff in order to control spending. Created weekly forums and increased mentoring and coaching sessions for 13 staff which yielded an overall 85% improvement in the unit’s performance measures over a 7 month period. Evaluated staff performance, cross-referenced information with performance goals by addressing MCIS outcomes and eliminated incorrect data impacting staff performance. Enhanced new adaptive equipment reporting system for providers which resulted in the agency meeting compliance as one of the exit criteria in the 39 year old Evans class action case. Coordinated utilization reviews with DDA business units and the Department of Healthcare Finance. Directedthe provider application process in the Home and Community Based Services waiver program and managed the approved provider network listings. Managed provider relations for the Agency and conducted annual provider performance review meetings. Designed methods of verifying quality services and worked collaboratively with internal and external agencies to identify poor performing providers.
