      Reporting to the CTO, as Senior Product Manager for Wine-Searcher I oversaw usability, efficiency and profitability of the world's largest wine website. This responsibility was the culmination of eight years' experience in various roles at Wine-Searcher, and deep knowledge of the international wine trade. Reporting to the CCO, this role revolved around the creation of mutually beneficial connections (both human and technical) between Wine-Searcher and the world's key wine businesses, primarily via their websites and apps. Core to this was designing effective API call routines to deliver data and services using Wine-Searcher APIs, plus inbound data and services from partner systems. Wine-Searcher is a vast, independent source of wine data; my role was unlocking the value of that data. Managing process, quality and ROI of written content across Wine-Searcher.com. Underpinning this were operational responsibilities – researching, updating and maintaining the backend database of wines, regions and grapes. This evolved into a more technical role over time, as I became experienced in IT systems/architecture.

      In Q1 2022 I assembled a dedicated Automation team to supply wine companies globally with efficient, scalable connections to Liv-ex's market data and B2B trading services for fine wine. Integrations began with customer goals, and ended with customer success, via careful communication, process and technical design. This drew on experience gained at Wine-Searcher and Wine Owners, and developed on it. A cross-company role to implement step-change improvements to Liv-ex's pricing strategy and revenue modelling, business systems and customer lifecycle management. Liv-ex is the global marketplace for the wine trade, with c. 650 international wine businesses using its fine wine technology, data, trading and logistics services. The company supplies its customers with data, trading, order fulfilment and automation services to help them efficiently price, source and sell wine.
