  As a general lighting technician I worked on many different movies and series like: 12 steden 13 ongelukken, Hete Vuren, flodder, Who am I, Alegria, No plains no trains, the missing link and many other productions. For television I did shows like: Big brother, Staatsloterij shows, Sesamstraat, 1 tegen 100, Lingo, Top of the pops and many others. I still use the knowledge and skills I gained then in my productions today.

  I started “Bas Buisman Photography & Film” (BBF&F) after I finished the academy for photography. Throughout the years my career has been evolving from Photographer, Lighting technician, Rigger, Stuntman to editor and visual effects artist and finally multi camera director. These past years I have also done my fair share of original content creation. Today I do a lot of my work within the Avgroup, an initiative of several freelancers who work under one name.

  High 8 Stunts and FX provides support to productions that need a safe way to perform risky acts and effects. Throughout the years we worked on productions like: Talpas DDD, Endemol Hans Klok, 3 Dinner Shows at wentink events, Stage entertainment, Sinterklaas events, and several other film and television productions. We also have some of our own acts like: the Directeur dubbel and the stunt team. The last couple of years our focus has been on live events and risk assessment.

  I initially began my career as a martial arts instructor, focusing on various forms of armed and unarmed combat. As my expertise grew, I established the Iwat Academy, where I now offer specialized courses such as Edged Weapons Awareness, which provides practical training on the dangers of knife attacks. Additionally, I have developed courses in Mental Martial Arts and Firearm Awareness.In 2020, I took a step further and created an electronic learning system. This platform enables gun ranges to conduct theoretical basic training and allows more experienced shooters to assess their level of safety knowledge. It serves as a valuable tool for enhancing safety practices and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of firearms. Show less
