In my role as President, I have organized guest speakers from organizations such as the Chicago White Sox and the Phoenix Suns, facilitated a coding workshop with Girls Who Code, and hosted DraftKings for a recruitment event.   As an analytics intern for the Florida Gators Baseball Team, I simplified data from Yakkertech software by interpreting pitch types and inputting readings into the baseball database. I also researched and analyzed metrics such as spin rate, release angle, pitch efficiency and horizontal/vertical movement from ≈ 10-15 pitchers to provide input to baseball operations and improve team performance.

  Florida Leadership Academy selects the top 100 sophomores in the Warrington College of Business at UF to become mentees in the organization. FLA's weekly Friday sessions discuss the Emotional Intelligence Leadership Model and have panels on different leadership topics, such as diversity and inclusion. My role as mentor includes being responsible for the all-encompassing mentorship of 5 mentees in each semester. This ranges from professional development assistance to personal growth, and utilizes the Emotionally Intelligent Leadership model to make mentees stronger leaders and more proactive members. My role as Assistant Director of Civic Engagement has also provided significant additional opportunities for me to better my community, building upon my committee involvement as a mentee. During my time at SoFlo, I have held one-on-one sessions with high school students to prepare them for the SAT with personalized study plans. The study plans are designed to maximize students' scores and help them engage with content in ways that make it more digestible.
