  Throughout the summers of 2016 and 2017, I interned in the corporate social responsibility sector of the computer software company SAP on two initiatives: Africa Code Week and Refugee Code Week.The main mission of ACW and RCW is to help young people and their entire families to cope with their current challenges and build for the future - to multiply coding curriculum for young people (aged 8 – 24 years) across Africa and the Middle East.   Having worked in the Irish Embassy, I gained invaluable experience and knowledge of the importance of international diplomacy and multilateralism. My role included:- The attendance of briefings for EU Council meetings at various French ministries such as the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for the Economy.- Reports drafted for senior diplomats.- Provision of a daily press summary and analysis of the French media for senior officials in the Department of Foreign Affairs and over 400 diplomatic contacts.- Research and diplomatic notes undertaken on political, economic, agricultural and cultural affairs.- Active involvement in the co-ordination and event management of a number of official Government and cultural events in the embassy, such as Taoiseach Varadkar's visit to Paris.
