  If you're lucky you learn a lot about challenging yourself in your early 'career' choices. It took a five minute talk with the owner to be hired for this job only two days later...and then asked to start working the following night. (I had to rush out to buy a black bowtie.) This is the one time that I was fortunate to find a job just by stopping in and asking if they were hiring. This was a fast paced challenging job with zero rest time as there was ALWAYS something that needed to be done. Going home with $10 of tips in hand was a great feeling at the end of the day. I also had a part time job scanning documents for microfiche....so during the summer I had on occasion the opportunity to go from one job straight to the next...so in total I was working from 7AM to 9PM. That work ethic started young and continues through today. If ever there is retirement in my future there will still be plenty of things to keep me busy. ...prior to this and yes before I was even able to drive a car I would get a lift to School with my bike, cycle to a retirement home to wash dishes at night, and then cycle the 5 to 6 miles home. Thus my love for cycling and the freedom that it can bring was solidified for life. Show less
