  The project is about expanding the functionalities of the EIT (Electrical Impedance Tomography) open source Python library pyEIT (Look at link below) to boost its use in clinical applications through adding 2 big modules: The EIT thoracic simulations and the segmentation of EIT thorax images using U-NET deep learning model. The project included the debugging of 3D EIT simulations as well.The first part of the project is now merged into the pyEIT main open source project on GitHub and I became one of its contributors.I covered a part of the project as well in a scientific paper and it was accepted in the IEEEXplore after being published within the International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy (IWIS) held by Technische Universität Chemnitz.
