Aug 2018 - Sept 2019Student InternshipBiodegradable polycarbonates and polyesters were synthesized to formulate polymeric nanoparticles. The goal of the project was to obtain worm-like micelles as a new potential drug-delivery platform. This was achieved by altering the composition of the polymers until worms were observed. The drug-loading capacity, and effect of surface charge of the nanoworms on cellular uptake were also studied.
