      In my seven years serving on the Board of Executives I consulted on scientific progress in the understanding and treatment of Alcohol Dependence and Abuse. In that framework I trained staff and volunteers. My responsibilities included lecturing within the framework of alcohol information campaigns, speaking in schools to children, parents and teachers, as well as in various other venues throughout Greece that Νηφάλιοι organized and/or has been invited to.In those years the chief accomplishment was that Νηφάλιοι received the 2007 award of Best N.G.O. in Health Care and Prevention from the Greek Ministry of Health. As co-coordinator and research associate I assisted research in Health Literacy financed by the Marie Curie Re-Integration Grant. Responsibilities included data collection, literature review, article write-up and basic statistical analysis. I also was responsible for research on other research projects on global migration issues, where coordinating data collection and processing.
