      I was responsible for a range of internal and external communication outputs across print, digital and social media, particularly in writing, editing, and proofreading web copy (news articles and longer science communication pieces), internal copy, case studies to journalists, reports, and social media posts (with video assets). This involved balancing multiple projects and the changing priorities which come with both proactive and reactive communications.-Led the production of UK Biobank's 2023/24 28-page booklet newsletter which is sent to its half a million cohort of participants annually. This process involved writing the newsletter and liaising with multiple teams to incorporate feedback. I applied a fresh emotive science storytelling approach to the newsletter, crafting a metaphor to explain the genome.-Interviewed internal and external stakeholders, such as the research communities using UK Biobank's data, and took the initiative to create a short feature series to showcase the impact of their research.- Conducted outreach to global institutions using UK Biobank data to ensure the communications team were notified of upcoming press, and reviewed press releases.-Led the organisation of a participant event, including venue arrangements and event promotion across different channels.-Wrote the script for UK Biobank's whole genome sequencing animation, which included a fresh metaphorical approach.-Sourced a bank of media spokespeople to help the Press team during a campaign on the release of whole genome data on 500k.-Became proficient on CMS Umbraco.
