      Bachelor of Arts - BA Theatre

      I am a Theatre major with a Latin American & Caribbean Studies minor. My minor was an interdisciplinary field encompassed by the Spanish, History, and Political Science departments. I completed a Senior Thesis - Directing for Theatre: A Bilingual Performance in Cherríe Moraga’s Shadow of a Man - where I directed a play and focused on language and its role in performance.

Was also part of a new play development process where I was able to observe rehearsal and help with the logistical necessities of a changing script.Worked in a creative capacity with the directing program, and mainstage productions.

      Worked in the Production Management office, keeping track of production needs in the Mainstage Season. Assisted with the administrative duties within the production department as well as functioning as a production manager for a developmental workshop in the winter. During my year-long fellowship I worked on the productions of the 2018-2019 Season: What the Constitution Means to Me, Slave Play, Hurricane Diane, and 17 Border Crossings.Worked extensively to facilitate the Next Door season and functioned as the lead facilitator and communicator for the different production teams.       •Manage all logistical elements of the Bushwick Starr production season including mainstage theatrical plays/performances and day-long events.•Alongside the Technical Director, I collaborate with designers and lead artists to budget and execute scenic, lighting, audio, and projection designs. I run all production meetings that help guide our conversations from theoretical design phase through feasibility and scope all the way to physical execution. •Collaborate interdepartmentally both with designers and the crew who work to create each production, but also internally to the day-to-day operations of The Bushwick Starr. •Process all invoices and credit card statements for all the production/event budgets while also maintaining shows budget anywhere in between $25,000-$75,000.•Lead the hiring process for all technical and production crew and subsequently track and manage their payroll every two weeks.
