  Working as Design engineer in Backhoe Loaders - India Product group division.1. Responsible for 3D Modelling/Sheetmetal design of BHL machine components using CREO and Hydraulic Lines routing design which involves routing of Hoses and Tubes using SDP Fluid Lines. 2. Involve in NPI projects - Design & developing new conceptual lines/metal comps without compromising work efficiency & Assembly feasibility within the targeted cost. 3. Selection of Hoses, Connectors and End fittings based on the Hydraulic cylinder working pressure, Cycle time, Flow rate, Load capacity. 4. Read Hydraulic Circuit Diagrams and perform Hydraulic Lines Design.5. Create drawings as per the Caterpillar standards and Quality, release them through CN's as part of NPI/CPI projects and complete as per the PMO plans. 6. Involve in CPI & BIQ projects and provide a fix to the issues through systematic DMAIC process. Work in PLM - Teamcenter software to create, maintain CN's, CR's for releasing the drawings. Create & maintain Notice's for every new creation or change in part number. 7. Conduct Design Reviews for every new design or change in an existing design for further improvement of the machines. Collaboratively work with Global Team leaders for New Design or design change as part of NPI/CPI projects. 8. Update estimated cost & gather cost related information using Caterpillar Product cost Management (PCM) tool. 9. BOM creation in SAP for the Group & Buy Level drawings as part of Common Business System (CBS) activities. 10. Support for Test Bed, Prototype & Pilot machine builds as part of NPI program. ACHIEVEMENTS:Successfully released all the CN's and drawings for NPI programs within the committed timeframe. Successfully addressed several issues and provided permanent solutions with good cost savings as part of CPI & BIQ programs. Supported 13x Prototype & Testbed machine builds as part of NPI program.
