      MAIN DUTIES: ●Coordinated and instructed summer camp programs. Instructed 8, week long camps, to groups of 8-16 elementary aged students with camps focused around natural history themes. Camp activities consisted of classroom learning, art activities, exploration of space activities, writing exercises, science experiments, and field trips to nearby natural sites to conduct field science activities. When not instructing served as a representative of the program to parents and responded to their questions and concerns in addition to opening and closing the museum.●Guided hour long interpretative tours of the museum’s diorama halls and exploratory “touch and see” room to groups of 10-20 students and/or adults.●Instructed hour long science labs for school groups of 15-40 students. Adapted labs to help students meet MN K-12 education standards in science. Labs included discussion of the topic to encourage critical thinking among students in addition to activities which included; dissection, handling of animal artifacts and live animals, animal collecting and identification, use of microscopes, use of multimedia (powerpoint presentations, video cameras) to display animal behaviors, and many games and activities to aid in students understanding of the topic.
