  Operations Manager

  As the Transformation Lead for the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) (Cat A £11.7bn contract) I delivered transformational change. This has required the leadership and management of the design and delivery of the Operating Model for the FMSP. I led the design of the Operating Model to ensure project alignment and integration across the enterprise by implementing the strategic management of the FMSP. I developed coherent and supportive relationships with Senior 1* and Naval Base Directors to design the Operating Model. This required leading the team on the development of the Programme Implementation Plan, producing the road map to guide the enterprise to deliver on significant change. In producing a Training Needs Analysis, I identified gaps in the organisation that through learning our personnel would benefit from, which led to the development of a bespoke Training Contract. I worked with the Commercial Team and Crown Commercial Services to develop the training requirements, the business plan, and the tender documents to facilitate the tendering process. This resulted in awarding the contract to a supplier which has led onto much needed Behavioural and Cultural Change with a Commercial Mindset training to support the FMSP Programme. I ensured through significant stakeholder engagement in meeting the scheduled deadlines, setting, and applying project governance, including the coordination of activity, cross function, across the maritime domain to ensure effective delivery of maritime support services. I provided leadership to the team to develop continuous improvement activity in order to improve the delivery of outputs to deliver on the realisation of the strategic benefit of improved certainty of delivery. Show less As the Planning & People Lead within the Programme Management Office, I was responsible for the In-Service Submarines (ISM) gaining a better understanding of all of the most significant projects and change initiatives occurring in the Submarine arena and ensuring ISM remains aligned to the overall strategy. Within this workstream I was the lead on ISM Project Resolution, which had an InYr control total of £28M (circa £280M over 10 years), this incorporated 53 initiatives across a broad range of business contexts. I was responsible for meeting the project budget within the In-Year and longer-term accounting periods. Ensuring that the wider financial (and resource) profiles are driven from the activities in the programme / project schedule and the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
