  As a freelance I've worked on a variety of projects from front-end web design, graphic design for print and motion graphics, to community art projects, social media and product design.With every brief I've been given my aim has always been to go further than the brief itself, and use my skills in business to create visual communications that build sales through careful research and planning. The closer I am to knowing what the chosen audience wants, the more likely the work is to achieve it's ultimate goal. This is a far cry from the work I have been doing previously. Born into the hospitality trade I found my first job in a kitchen at the age of fifteen. It was then a natural progression to finally running my own restaurant with in York. This experience has been something I've drawn from heavily as a Graphic Designer. Serving someone a table full of food and serving a table full of ideas isn’t too different. You have clients to please and targets to meet. You need to understand your audience and ultimately you have to create a welcoming environment around the table, a place that everyone would like to come and eat.
