  J Lazy J Ranch is a functioning beef cattle operation in South Texas. On the ranch, I care for the livestock and monitor the health of the cattle along with pasture conditions. Additionally, I work with the owner to determine various ranch needs. Utilized Ranch Hand duties as an interim full-time position in between Hospital Change- currently working on the Ranch in conjunction to my Laboratory/Hospital duties.

  Responsible for facilitating patient flow through the use of a dental-based software. Moreover, I ran a specific sterilization process for various dental instruments by utilizing an autoclave. I exhibited my interpersonal skills daily to interact with a diverse variety of orthodontic patients.

  Investigated the influence stressful environments have on specific heat shock proteins (HSP’s). The aim of the described research efforts was to connect the up-regulation of HSP’s to the aging of humans. Utilization of model organisms and CRISPR technology aided the project.

  Responsible for processing various specimen types; primarily bodily fluids (i.e. Synovial fluid, Pleural Fluid, and Cerebral Spinal Fluid) to help Pathologists and Cytopathologists diagnose potentially cancerous cells. I utilized a Pathology Laboratory equipment along with processing methods such as the Papanicolaou stain line which is a multichromatic cytological staining technique designed for staining specimen-containing microscopic slides. After processing I computed and organized patient information into a Cerner-designed software to be used in the CoxHealth Hospital system. Show less

  Primary role is to ensure that the processing of various Whole-Blood/Serum remains an integral part of the Connally Memorial Medical Center diagnostic pathway. An individual contributor who is responsible for leadership by practicing self-starting and independent initiatives to promote energized flow to the Laboratory. Ancillary responsibilities include: Chemistry Analyzer (Beckman-Coulter) Maintenance and Blood Bank Identification: Transfusion Authorization. Blood Bank regulations are set by South Texas Blood and Tissue Center. Also, I serve as a liaison for various Executive Administration/Leadership needs and desires. Show less
