  I shadowed Neurosurgical Oncologist Dr. Nam Tran twice a week at his Moffit Cancer Center clinic. I observed pre-op and post-op surgical consultations. I also developed a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in neurosurgical oncology, honing both technical and interpersonal skills.

  As an EMT at Florida Medical Transport, I assist with non-emergency calls, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the transport. I am responsible for safely transporting patients to their designated locations and coordinating with healthcare professionals upon arrival to ensure a smooth handoff and proper documentation. My role includes maintaining effective communication to ensure the patient's medical needs are clearly conveyed, supporting team members with patient handling, and adhering to all safety protocols to provide a secure and professional service.   Undergraduate Research Assistant

  I am an undergraduate research assistant working at the Duke University Institute of Brain Sciences in Dr. Goetz's Neurobiology Lab. The goal of my research project is to identify the function of the casein kinase 1 protein family in both neurons and other cell lines. During my experimentation, I will employ CRISPR biotechnology, cell culture techniques, antibody staining, and fluorescent microscopy to analyze the localization and phenotypic impacts of these proteins. This research aims to fill the gap in knowledge regarding the relationship between the casein kinase 1 family and primary cilia, as well as to develop an understanding of the role these kinases play in various neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders.
