Working within this dynamic role, I facilitate and supervise visits and exchanges between children and non-residential parents. This includes observing, and monitoring visits between children and non-residential parents. Here I support the creation of a child-focused and safe environment for families to visit while ensuring strict ministry policies and guidelines are followed.Taking on a more leadership role, I act as Family Worker regularly, debriefing staff and volunteers on visits as well as supporting staff and volunteers with any questions or issues that many arise during their visits. Show less I work with youth aged 15 to 29 assisting them in finding and maintaining employment. The Youth Job Connection program was launched in October 2015, and I was able to be a part of the start up process of this program. In this program workshops are geared towards employment readiness as well as life skills; Through my dynamic and engaging approach I am able to move the youth through the 60 hours of pre-employment workshops to help better prepare them for employment. I assess youth for our two core youth programs and refer them to the appropriate service path. As a enthusiastic mentor for youth, I develop and implement curriculum geared towards youth! Through my positive and energetic approach, I believe our youth can do or be anything!Community Articles:http://www.waterloochronicle.ca/opinion/three-tips-to-stand-out-in-your-job-interviewhttp://www.waterloochronicle.ca/opinion/how-active-is-your-job-search/http://www.waterloochronicle.ca/opinion/age-has-nothing-to-do-with-it/http://www.waterloochronicle.ca/opinion/early-job-search-steps-are-key-to-securing-a-position/ Show less
