Activities and Societies: Center for Reproductive Biology During my years in the laboratory of Dr. Terry Hassold I completed my dissertation entitled: "Sex-specific differences in human meiotic recombination: A cytogenetic analysis of early meiotic events". In human meiosis there is a staggering difference in the origin of chromosomal errors, with females accounting of 95% abnormalities. Jul 2015 - Dec 2015
      Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Postdoctoral research fellow in laboratory of Prof. Eva Hoffmann at the Genome Damage and Instability Centre at the University of Sussex. Our Research focus included analysis of DNA damage pathways, particularly homologous recombination, in both human and mouse oocytes.

      Dec 2015 - now
      Research Collaborator

Collaborated with the Laboratory for Reproductive Biology (LRB) at the Rigshospitalet under the supervision of Prof. Claus Yding Andersen. At the LRB trained in ovarian cortex cryopreservation, as well as many oocyte handling techniques including in-vitro maturation and vitrification.

      Dec 2015 - now

Transferred to the University of Copenhagen Center for Chromosome Stability from the University of Sussex with the laboratory of Prof. Eva Hoffmann. Coordinated an international multi-center research project focused on identifying potential mechanisms associated with the increase in chromosomal abnormalities (aneuploidy) with maternal age in human oocytes. Through collaborations with fertility clinics in Italy, Poland, UK, and Denmark we were interested in identifying chromosomal aging features in humans that may influence the high rate of aneuploidy pregnancies seen in women of advanced maternal age.
