  Started with New Zealand Rail as a Signal Maintainer in Wellington. Did 6 years in the Wellington region then moved to the Upper Hutt section.In this role I was responsible for the maintenance of all types of equipment from Crossing alarms to Point Machines along with SCADA, 3.3KV systems, and new works. Also Fault finding and testing.

  Signal Technician/ Director

  In this role I was responsible for the installtion of civil and signalling works for the Wellington track circuit upgrades. For this I also worked in a test and commisioning role as a contractor to UGL.Also Built all signalling locations for the Mackys to Waikanae double tracking. Also assited in the installtion and testing of these systems as a contractor to Invensys Rail.

  Protection Technician

  Started here as An Electrical supervisor running Primary and Secondary installation teams building 220KV Bus, Disconnectors, CB's, VT's Capacitor banks etc. Also built The new Pole 3 11KV room.Was soon moved to become a protection Tech (Trainnee) Involving testing/commisioning works.Started an apprenticeship early 2014 and won apprentice of the year (Transpower STAR awards).Also Have just received the Trainee of the year in Transmission (Connexis excellence awards)In the last few years I have been a commissioning technician on the Wilton Bus Rationalization Project, and many DCB/CSA upgrades within the lower north island. I have also installed new battery banks within the Transpower network. Currently I am doing multiple line protection upgrades around the network. Show less
