  Head of Resilience and Planning.Experience of Project Managing a wide range of organisational wide Projects, as well as ensuring effective Business Continuity Management (BCM) strategies are employed. Also worked with colleagues nationally/locally on Protective Security and Information Security.An active member on the Leadership Team, where I also had Area responsibility for two Metropolitan Boroughs and associated Prevention, Protection and Response teams within Greater Manchester (Salford and Trafford Boroughs).I oversaw the Contingency Planning, Resilience Unit as well as having responsibility for the Emergency Response Hub (Administration teams, Training Co-ordination and Central Crewing function). The main responsibilities of the Contingency Planning Unit are to satisfy the legal requirements of the Civil Contingencies 2004; including Business Continuity Management (BCM). The team satisfy a number of other legal requirements :-• The Control Of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 2015• Pipeline Safety Regulation 1996• Radiation Emergency Preparedness & Public Information Regulations 2001• Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999• Fire & Rescues Services Act 2004 in respect to the management of incident involving hazardous material and incidents involving CBRNe.The team also carry out pre planning activities for events, either long term plans, such as Government Party Conferences or quickly evolving multi agency events.The Resilience Unit, coordinate our Specialist Response to deal with “Other Emergencies”, utilising teams such as Urban Search and Rescue and capabilities such as DIM (Detection Identification and Monitoring).I led on the introduction of Technical Response Units at two locations within Greater Manchester.I lead on a Shared Service Project to deliver the Emergency Response Hub (combining Central Crewing, Training Coordination and the central Administration team and also introduced a new state of the art Command Support Function).
