      I provided policy and strategic leadership for a trans-boundary communication strategy for the three riparian states of the Okavango river basin, Angola, Botswana and Namibia. The Okavango Delta Management Plan (ODMP) project was a 36 month project financed by the Government of Botswana and international donor agencies namely, IUCN, SIDA, DANIDA and DED to the tune of US$ 6,941,000.00The projects objective was to develop a comprehensive, integrated management plan for the conservation and sustainable use of the Okavango Delta Ramsar Site and the surrounding areas and my role as Communication Specialist on the project entailed heading the Communication, Dialogue and Networking component of the plan. I was tasked with developing a communication strategy in association with all stakeholders through the fulfillment of obligations outlined in relevant multi-lateral environmental agreements and other regional protocols ratified by the Government of Botswana.
