      Logistics and Stress Engineer

After graduating from Florida Polytechnic University and settling in the Tampa, FL area, I returned to hometown as my grandma was very ill. I found a local job in Fort Lauderdale at a moving, construction and logistics company called Wizard of Oz Moving Co. I had a strong role in the day to day life of the company as it was relatively small where I was placed and was required to collaborate with team members. Most immediate issues or areas of concern were regarding logistics of large shipments, material selection and processing, as well as drafting technical documents regarding the feasibility and modeling application in reference to a given project. My responsibilities included running stress analysis as a method to ensure whether or not a given structure would fail under certain stresses and weathering conditions. This was commonly done using beam analysis and fundamental theory. Occasionally, if the design was somewhat complex and had multiple internal stresses, I would draw up the design using the 3D modeling software SOLIDWORKS and port the stl. file into ANSYSworkbench where I furthered the stress and strain analysis by assigning constituent materials and altered material properties to match in shop data as necessary means to replicate the design problem as realistic as possible. In ANSYSworkbench, I have the ability to assign internal and external pressures, normal, and shear forces on a given 3D model. In doing so, I can ascertain multiple material properties utilizing the analysis software and predict deflections under given pressures/forces in the terms of material failure. A majority of my day to day was scheduling the logistics for shipments to their allocated destinations successfully and on time. I also commonly reaffirmed that a given structural design and material selection and theoretical method for processing were up to par with factors of safety provided so that the clients are satisfied while feeling secure about the quality work being provided. • Uniper Care

      Jun 2022 - Apr 2024
      Information Technology Technical Specialist

I troubleshoot and provide IT support for clients whose Uniper devices (a form of Cable for senior citizens) are experiencing technical issues. This role often has me configuring the devices remotely and I can troubleshoot by manipulating and changing the software settings. I often have to report to the DEV team periodically and find solutions through augmenting baseline code for the software in C++ and reiterating servers to roll out new patch updates in order to keep the devices properly sending and receiving data. This job also requires me to go onsite to clients homes to troubleshoot the devices manually if needed. Show less

      Jun 2022 - Dec 2022
      Public Notary, Transcriptionist, Court reporter

Licensed and Government officiated Public Notary. I handle transcriptions for local criminal court, usually for Broward County, as well as attend depositions as a court report when needed. This role demands a high level of writing, a keen mindset for attention to detail, ability to meet State deadlines, as well as the professionalism needed to work within a court/legal setting. I work this job part time and am looking for work in my degree field.

Field Engineer (March, 2023 - October, 2023) Generated Field Maps utilizing software provided through Duke Energy as a sub-contractor and designer.Physically fielded each target location generally locating target poles and their adjacent(s) as well as noting environmental factors affecting potential construction across various circuits/locations.Located power poles inspecting overhead equipment and various rated underground transformers throughout North Coastal and South Coastal Florida for environmental and storm protection, maintenance, switching, upgrading, installing, and removing electrical equipment via construction crew.Documented any physical damage to the line feeding individual customers and or equipment, as well as obtained photos of overhead equipment on power poles while generating notes beneficial for the Designer, Project Lead, and Permitting Team. Analyzed any faults along the line affecting power quality and power distribution.Physically walked multiple circuits and discovering various inconsistencies worthy of note in comparison to information provided by Duke Energy while fielding, I notified team members accordingly and made sure they aware of any potential issues affecting the fielding for that project. Confirmed and ascertained whether all relevant data regarding the state of power distribution across an area often collaborating with team members who were in office via Microsoft Teams to confirm various scenarios and equipment IDs were up to standards and customers had consistent and reliable power provided. Show less Utilized softwares provided through Duke Energy as a sub contractor such as Maximo, Argus, SEDS, CPA, Poleforeman, Myworld, and Device Lookup in order to generate preliminary proposal designs, create construction prints for the construction crew reflecting the approved final designs generally including the entirety of scope of work, and inputted equipment or compatible units onto overhead poles for removal and installation per project.Performed as Initial and Detailed Designer utilizing fundamental principles within the electrical engineering discipline to generate and draft designs via software BluBeam for QA and QC review.Proposed designs installing new equipment, uprgrading poles to currently approved standards, and removing all faulty equipment, switching out equimpent on poles for potential storm damage and generally avian damage.Assessed damage across multiple circuits inspecting and documenting complications to overall power quality and power distribution affecting variois customers in the area. Drafted, documented, and proposed all necessary documentation for Duke Energy to provide to the client and for engineering construction to intitiate after final designs are approved accordingly. Generated and submitted general GIS corrections for any inconsistencies found while fielding so that Myworld/Argus may be updated to reflect the most accurate depiction of physically what is actaully in the field which more than likely will affect future work orders and construction. Generated environmental checklists and notices for future power outages sent to Maximo affecting customers currently being fed by overhead power.Collaborated frequently with my Project Designer, Design Lead, and QA Reviewer in order to confirm the scope of work for the overall design as well as the direction of the design as it moved upwards through various stages of approval before completion and expectedly, into engineering construction.
