Be Louder then the negative people around you. Be Louder by breaking the stigma of being honest about our mental health, depression, and anxieties. Whatever your going through, understand - YOU. ARE. NOT. ALONE. Responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations within a state facility including housing units, restrictive housing, healthcare, and the walks. Supervise correctional officers and maintain security. Investigate alleged rule violations of individuals in custody and resolve conflicts, identify and resolve problems that interfere with the facility’s day-to-day operations. Travel to facilities all over Illinois to check-in on staff and provide resources for security and non-security staff about mental health, depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma. Supervision of the central region facility’s Staff Wellness Response Team (Total of 11 facilities). Lead trainings and provide updates to team members in regard to canvasses and debriefings. Educate team members on new programs available to staff that promote positive transformation in mental health for staff throughout the state of Illinois. Coordinate due dates with team members for quarterly articles. Assign staff topics and stories targeting front line staff within IDOC and administration. Assist in the supervision of the facility’s Staff Wellness Response Team. Co-lead trainings and provide updates to team members in regard to canvasses and debriefings. Educate team members on new programs available to staff that promote positive transformation in mental health for staff throughout the state of Illinois.
