Currently working as a PhD Candidate in the Biological Oceanography Group within the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. The main research line of the thesis is to study the effects of multiple stressors, such as temperature and atmospheric deposition (e.g. Saharan dust, ash), on phytoplankton communities in the Canary Region. This research is funded by and part of the Horizon Europe project Ocean ICU that aims in understanding the role of the Ocean in the global carbon cycle. Laboratory technician in the group of biological oceanography at the Institute of Oceanography and Global Change (IOCAG), Gran Canaria. I am involved in the project e-IMPACT (2020-2023): Biogeochemical impact of mesoscale and sub-mesoscale processes along the life history of cyclonic and anticyclonic eddies: plankton variability and productivity; among others.
