  I originally started my placement for Certificate 3 at Point Cook Play and Learn, then was asked if i would like to be employed at an Iss worker for the reminder of 2012 for a child aged 2 and half. From February 1st 2013 to January 31st 2014 i was the Kindergarten Assistant with the aged 4 -5 year old room. My duties included, providing support to the ECT, while providing children’s program with reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guideline.- In compliance with the OH&S Policy, ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma and health issues. - I ensure that accurate records are kept in regards to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication being needed at time. - Know and understand and record children’s observations with all types being used if required - observations I use regularly are – Anecdotal – Event sample- Learning stories – Running/Narrative – Time samples- Sociograms.- Create fun learning area’s for children’s interests either permanent, invitational or spontaneous.- Communicate to children, families and staff with respect and open mind.- Stay up to date with any changes within the center or national laws, regulations and standards. - Where diligence is needed, report to authority’s with the health and safety of any child, team member is at risk. - Help and encourage team members to self-reflect on their roles, within center and with guidance when needed, provide support, correct and update information.
