For the 2022-2023 school year, I served as a director of one of the five committees of the Student Events Board. I was elected as Director of Special Committee in September 2022 and I retired from the position in May 2023. As part of the position, I helped coordinate and execute events, manage outside vendors, and I collaborated with other directors to develop teamwork and communication skills. My committee's largest event was the haunted house, which took over 40 hours to plan, execute, set up, and clean up. Show less

A dramaturg acts as a kind of historian to a show. The show our school focused on this semester was The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. For this role, I researched all the adaptations of the show, as well as the mythology that Percy Jackson is based off of. I created a presentation, a packet, and a lobby display for this position. I also attended design meetings, helped with costumes and set, and attended rehearsals. Additionally, before this position, I wrote a research paper about author’s impact on the accuracy and perceptions of adaptation with a focus on Rick Riordan and Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
