In my role as a student engineer in the Batch & Furnace department daily duties involved conducting quality checks on glass bottles, and analysed foreign inclusions in bottles to determine origin and correct problems. Additionally I worked on a number of long-term projects - setting up and monitoring a water balance for the site, and creating troubleshooting guides for site subsystems. Working at Orora provided me with valuable experience, including working in a manufacturing plant, the importance of proper PPE, and working independently. Show less

    • University of Adelaide

      Aug 2014 - Nov 2014

Tutored students in Engineering Mechanics - Dynamics, a first year engineering course. This involved supervising weekly tutorials: in alternate weeks presenting an hour-long lesson in front of the class; and in other weeks supervising a two-hour 'help session'. I was pleased to note that my tutorial size increased throughout the semester in counterpoint to the normal decrease in attendance that is seen. Additionally, the cohort achieved the best results that the lecturer had ever seen in his 15 years of teaching the course. Show less
