    • Sidra Medicine

      Oct 2014 - May 2019

I was employed within the Biomedical Engineering Department to roll out the clinical end user training for over 500 pieces of medical equipment in the lead up to the hospital’s activation date. In this role I worked alongside BME, vendors, trainers and the clinical end user to ensure optimal training was achieved. Sidra Medicine provides care for the women and children of Qatar. At the time that I joined the organisation, it was a greenfield project and as a Clinical Nurse Leader, I was responsible, in liaison with key stakeholders, for the planning, implementation and activation of the Anesthesia and PACU services in the Outpatients Day Surgery Center. Planning for service activation in the main 399-bed hospital was also commenced during this period.

      Jul 2022 - Feb 2024
Project Lead - Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FFE)

Mater Hospital is currently expanding their Springfield Hospital service to meet the demands of the rapidly growing community. The project will deliver 174 public beds including critical care beds, new operating theatres, an Emergency Department and a Gynaecology & Obstetric Service. My primary role within the project team has been to coordinate the Furniture, Fittings & Equipment (FFE) portfolio. I have been the interface between project team, clinical end users and external consultants to ensure that correct FFE is in the correct place, thereby establishing a safe and seamless environment upon opening the hospital, for staff, patients and visitors alike.
