  Under the scholarship "Programa de pasantías CONICYT- Ministerio de Energía", a research project at the Process and System Analysis Group of the Institute of Electrochemical Process Engineering (IEK-3) was carried out. The Research Project tittle is: Can chemical industry lead the introduction of green hydrogen market? A geospatial infrastructure analysisThe goal of the project is to develop a python-based decision-making method to assess and optimize the development of hydrogen supply chains for industrial consumers with focus on chemical industry (Refineries, Ammonia & Methanol). On this basis green hydrogen supply chains for the German chemical industry will be compared for defined scenarios.Main ObjectiveTo develop an investment decision making method that optimizes green hydrogen supply for the chemical industry in Germany.Specific Objectives• Create and update the Hydrogen demand database in Germany.• Design the decision-making approach and validate it.• Perform a Techno-economic assessment of the chosen scenarios.
