  I lead ACCA's efforts in supporting our members and future members with their professional development, employability and career needs. I am also responsible for the delivery of students' support and guiding them through their ACCA Qualification journeys to membership whilst also supporting our education partners with appropriate learning solutions. We continuously look at supporting our members, future members and partners through high-quality solutions and lead the development, curation and management of all education and learning-related intellectual property, including ACCA's suite of publications and education content. I am also responsible for the oversight of ACCA's educational technology stack and the delivery of our platforms to provide a superior experience to our stakeholders. A key area of my role is to ensure that ACCA's ecosystem of partners, including universities, employers and education partners are supported in their relationships with ACCA. I am also accountable for the development and implementation of ACCA's commercial approach and frameworks. Show less In my role as the director for professional education, I am responsible for ensuring that each and every student and member of ACCA has both the training and development support required for our students to progress on to membership and to ensure that our members are supported through their careers with continuing professional development. In my role, I am responsible for ensuring that our students are supported through their exams journey with world-class learning support. I also work closely with our learning partners and provide the support they need. We will also continue to deliver public value through the award-winning ACCA-X (www.acca-x.com) to ensure that anyone, anywhere, has the access to free and affordable business and accountancy courses to a Diploma level. Show less In this role, I am responsible for ACCA's delivery of key strategic global initiatives and ventures. I am currently leading the delivery of www.acca-x.com - ACCA's exciting and world-class online learning solution delivered in partnership with edX (founded by Harvard and MIT) and Epigeum (a spin-off company from the Imperial College, London). I have overseen the programme from its inception to its delivery in 2015 and will continue driving the growth of ACCA-X to support ACCA's strategic ambitions to 2020. Show less In my role, I was responsible for ACCA's development and delivery across emerging markets in Asia. This included ACCA's established markets in the region including Vietnam and Cambodia. I also led the establishment of ACCA's presence and operations in Indonesia and Myanmar. I also led the delivery of ACCA's strategy in remotely managed markets by establishing a core team in Singapore to support our operations in Brunei, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan, South Korea, Mongolia and Japan. In my role, I also led ACCA's key engagement with senior government stakeholders in these countries, particularly the various Ministries of Finance, Ministries of Education and Ministries for National Planning, as well as multilateral agencies such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the UN Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Show less I was seconded part-time, whilst also retaining my Emerging Markets Asia portfolio, to be part of a small core team to develop and establish delivery plans for ACCA's strategy to 2020. In this role, I was reporting directly to the Executive Director for Strategy at ACCA and worked closely with the Executive Team and ACCA's Council and leadership to refine, test and finalise ACCA's strategy. This included a review of ACCA's strategy to 2015, to consider feedback from different parts of the organisation and to consider what strategic shifts were required for ACCA to meet its ambition of developing the professional accountants the world needs.
