      I work as part of a special education team and as part of a larger Student Services Team providing supports and services to our students, parents, and staff to help every child reach their potential. Part of the work I do each day involves doing animal-assisted therapy. I use my dog Kannon to enhance student leadership, student empowerment, animal stewardship, and student emotional regulation.

      Urban Animal Mentor- Prince Street Puppy Project Members of the Summit for Urban Animal Strategies Oct 2014 Awarded annually to four presenting projects at the National Summit, the designation of Urban Animal Mentor signifies a project worthy of further study and national replication. A project must first be voted forward from a Regional Summit in order to be seen at the National Summit. Only eight out of 32 projects in the country get to the national level.
