      Spent time as the Area Inspector for two Sour Gas facilities. Eventually moved into the role of Senior Inspector. Main functions was pressure equipment integrity management. Performed integrity assessments of equipment, coordination of inspection activities, turnaround planning, and development of pressure equipment repair procedures. Provided guidance to junior inspectors.

Daily involvement with the Operations and Maintenance groups, as well as supervising other contract inspection personal both Visual and NDE inspectors. Performed regulatory compliance inspections on a variety of pressure equipment such as Power Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Towers, Fired Heaters, Drums, Storage Tank, and piping. Written or been involved in development of pressure equipment repair for weld build-up of wasted areas, plugging of exchanger tubes, replacement of nozzles, and replacement of furnace coils in a cracking furnace, etc. Performed unit QC functions such as preparation of travel sheets, review of welder qualifications, weld mapping, selection of NDE and locations. Provided inspection support to NOVA turnarounds in other units on site. Performed RBI on equipment and PSV’s under the direction of NOVA Chief and Lead Inspectors. Show less
