  The Management area of responsibly is Credit Card Fraud Investigations. Primary functions is recovering confirmed fraudulent dollars through the charge-back process (i.e. re-presentment pre-arbitration, restitution, merchant credits and holding cardholders responsible when there is implied consent or if cardholders benefited from purchases), taking appropriate action with applicable law enforcement agency's, and reporting fraud to the card associations as well as Executive Management. The department reduces fraud dollar charge-offs while adhering to established Bank Policies/Procedures & Federal Regulation (Reg Z / SAR) while conducting a thorough investigations. Credit Card Fraud Investigations is the last discipline in the fraud cycle (After Fraud Analytics and Fraud Prevention). Through their investigation they have to identify the responsibility of each involved party: 1) The dollar amount of the Bank's loss; 2) The dollar amount the merchant is responsible for; and 3) The dollar amount the customer is responsible for.
