  It's a great opportunity for me to learn about the mechanical maintenance of reheating furnace area equipment and it's hydraulic systems in the Structural Mill (STM) , Visakhapatnam Steel Plant,RINL.There is a centralised hydraulic system which needs to be maintained properly so that the required pressure, flow rate and discharge can be achieved through the positive displacement pumps at 70 bar pressure connected with reservoir. In this system, the components are arranged in such a way that the hydraulic oil like HLP -46 is used in a recirculation process and heat dissipation is achieved using a cross flow heat exchanger. Low vacuum dehydration unit is used to remove the water bubble molecules and pressurized sand filters for minute sized dust particles from the hydraulic oil system. Ultimately, the purpose of this system is to control hydraulic cylinders for linear displacement and hydro motors for rotational displacement used to process the industrial automation 3.0 by integrated operation through the sensor feedback at each stage.   I worked as a R&D engineer intern in the field of hydrogen related applications like PEM fuel cell powered hydrogen drone in particular along with the knowledge gain on various efficient hydrogen generation methods like electrolysis, waste to hydrogen generation etc. I have been constantly improving my skills with all the possible aspects like hydrogen storage systems like type IV and type III for high pressure gaseous cylinders for storage and cryogenic vessels for liquified hydrogen storage for the transportation from production plant to dispensing systems.
