      Responsible for the departments of Event Services, Venue Services and Parking Services to oversee and execute 1000 events annually, working collaboratively with Event Sales Team, Food & Beverage and Security, as well as external stakeholders (e.g. City of Calgary, Calgary Flames Limited Partnership, Calgary Municipal Land Corporation and Calgary Police) and vendors. • Develop, execute and manage event/project budgets, inventory, schedules, staffing and resource needs; liaise and manage exhibitor/event communications and schedules; source and collaborate with internal and external vendors; and oversee venue set-up and tear-down • Oversee staff, volunteer and public safety, from crowd management tactics and security, marshalling busy roads and thoroughfares, monitoring and supervising the transport of event/exhibitor equipment and supplies, and ensuring the best infection prevention practices are in place – CS is CBAC Star Certified• Lead small and large project teams of staff and volunteers, of various skills and backgrounds (e.g. schedulers, cashiers, parking attendants, housekeeping and guest services, forklift operators, people and equipment movers, heavy equipment operators, tow truck drivers, etc.)• SME for the implementation, training, beta-testing and operations of a cutting-edge logistics management system (Voyage Control System) used by world-class event sites to improve exhibitor communications, set-up and tear-down schedules, and CS staffing and equipment resources• Manage 24/7 operations of Exhibition front-gates and parking access and revenue control systems for 20 on-site parking lots • Manage departmental budgets, including approval and forecasting processes, procurement and inventory management, identifying opportunities for savings Show less
